Traditional Windows deployment via the network is often based on WinPE, but this comes with limitations in terms of flexibility, compatibility, and customizability. This presentation uses OPSI to demonstrate an alternative approach that uses a lightweight Linux boot environment as a starting point and performs the Windows installation entirely via wimlib. Other new features in OPSI will also be presented.
