The presentation provides an overview of the many new types of content the portal can display via “corner links,” “quick links,” and the news feed, and demonstrates their use cases. As a highlight, shown as a preview at the Summit, it introduces the new permission management based on roles or rules instead of group memberships, making it significantly easier to tailor content to roles such as “parents/guardians” or to specific permissions.
Ingo Steuwer beschäftigte sich bereits parallel zu seinem Informatik-Studium an der Universität Bielefeld mit dem Einsatz von Open Source-Infrastrukturen in kleinen und mittelständischen Unternehmen. So war er von 2000 bis 2004 Geschäftsführer einer EDV-Beratungsfirma. Bei seinem Einstieg bei Univention 2004 lag sein Aufgabenbereich zuerst in der Produktentwicklung. Ab 2006 verantwortete er den Bereich Professional Services und ist seit Anfang 2022 Vice President Platform & Technology.
Ingo Steuwer began working with open source infrastructures for small and medium-sized enterprises alongside his computer science studies at Universität Bielefeld. From 2000 to 2004, he served as Managing Director of an IT consulting firm. When he joined Univention in 2004, his initial responsibilities were in product development. From 2006 onwards, he was responsible for the Professional Services department, and since early 2022, he has been Vice President Platform & Technology.
