The role of school maintaing bodies (smb) in ensuring the digital sovereignty of schools in the federal education system continues to be underestimated in academia. According to the initial findings of the research project “Open Digital Infrastructures of Municipal SMB,” smb would like to see greater recognition in public discourse, including in the (further) development of open, learning-friendly digital infrastructures in schools. The research discussion will therefore address the role of smb in the education system and outline the possible path to “communities of practice.”
Andre Gülzow arbeitet im Geschäftsbereich Schule der Stadt Wolfsburg im Team der Schul-IT. Er verantwortet dort die strategische Weiterentwicklung der digitalen Infrastruktur und Medienbildung an rund 35 Schulen mit einem Schwerpunkt auf Bildungsgerechtigkeit und praxistauglichen Lösungen für Schulträger und Schulen.
Andre Gülzow works in the Schools Division of the City of Wolfsburg as part of the School IT team. He is responsible for the strategic development of the digital infrastructure and media education at around 35 schools, with a focus on educational equity and practical solutions for school authorities and schools.
Seit 2021 ist Lena Wollenberg wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am ifib. Als Soziologin liegt ihr Fokus auf der Betrachtung von Ungleichheiten im Bildungssystem. Während ihres Masterstudiengangs an der Universität Bremen fokussierte sie sich vor allem auf quantitative Erhebungs- und Auswertungsmethoden. Im Rahmen des Verbundprojektes ODIkS ist sie für den Bereich Forschung und Evaluation zuständig.
Since 2021, Lena Wollenberg has been a research associate at ifib. As a sociologist, her focus is on examining inequalities in the education system. During her master’s studies at the University of Bremen, she concentrated primarily on quantitative survey and analysis methods. Within the joint project ODIkS, she is responsible for the areas of research and evaluation.
Lea Telle ist seit 2018 als Senior Beraterin für die ifib consult GmbH tätig. Sie berät im Bereich der öffentlichen Verwaltung mit Schwerpunkt im Bildungssektor. Ihre Schwerpunkte sind Medienbildung und Medienkompetenz, Beteiligungsverfahren, Medienentwicklungsplanung, Ausstattungsplanung mit Kostenkalkulation, Kultur der Digitalität im Bildungskontext, Medienentwicklungsplanung und Open Educational Resources (OER).
Lea Telle has been working as a Senior Consultant at ifib consult GmbH since 2018. She advises in the field of public administration with a focus on the education sector. Her areas of expertise include media education and media literacy, participation processes, media development planning, equipment planning with cost calculation, culture of digitality in educational contexts, media development planning, and Open Educational Resources (OER).
Als Leiterin der Stabsstelle Digitale Bildung im Amt für Schule und Weiterbildung gestalte ich mit 10 Mitarbeitenden den digitalen Wandel der städtischen Schullandschaft & erfülle die Schulträgeraufgaben. Mit dem Förderprogramm DigitalPakt Schule statten wir die Schulen zeitgemäß mit digitaler Präsentationstechnik und mobilen Endgeräten aus, die den pädagogischen Konzepten der Schulen gerecht werden. Im Digitallabor stärken wir digitale Kompetenzen der Lehrkräfte & reduzieren digitale Barrieren.
As Head of the Digital Education Staff Unit in the Office for Schools and Continuing Education, I shape the digital transformation of the municipal school landscape together with a team of 10 staff members and fulfill the responsibilities of the school authority. Through the DigitalPakt Schule funding program, we equip schools with modern digital presentation technology and mobile devices that align with their pedagogical concepts. In the Digital Lab, we strengthen teachers’ digital competencies and reduce digital barriers.
